Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), also known as Roissy Airport, is the largest international airport in France and the main hub for Paris. Located approximately 23 km northeast of central Paris in Roissy-en-France, it opened in 1974 and is named after Charles de Gaulle, the leader of the Free French Forces during World War II and former President of France.?
