Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi A.S., operating as Pegasus Airlines, is a prominent low-cost carrier based in Istanbul, Turkey. Established in 1990 as a joint venture between Aer Lingus, Silkar Investment, and Net Holding, the airline began operations with two Boeing 737-400 aircraft .

In 2005, Pegasus was acquired by Esas Holding, owned by the Sabanci family, and transitioned into a scheduled low-cost airline, marking a significant shift from its original charter operations . The airline's mission is to make flying accessible to all, encapsulated in its vision that "everyone has the right to fly"

Fleet and Operations: As of December 31, 2023, Pegasus operates a fleet of 109 aircraft, serving both domestic and international routes . The airline's main hub is at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, with additional bases in Ankara, Adana, Antalya, and Izmir . In 2022, Pegasus served 114 destinations across 44 countries, with 78 of these being international .?
